Makeup Makeup Product Reviews Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash Review By Riya Sharma Posted on May 17, 2017 3 min read 0 Share on Facebook Share on Twitter Share on Google+ Share on Reddit Share on Pinterest Share on Linkedin Share on Tumblr Hi guys! I’m back with my summer special makeup and skin care product reviews. Things are getting too difficult to handle in Kolkata here, with temperature increasing with every passing day. It was getting too cumbersome to write reviews and click photographs also. But I had to do it for my lovely readers. If you’re a regular reader of this website, you must be knowing that I absolutely love using Lakme Blush and Glow Strawberry facewash. In fact, I’ve been using it for 10 years consistently. Recently, Lakme added another variant to their Blush and Glow Range- pomegranate. So how did it fare? Find out in our Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash review below. What The Brand Says About The Product: Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash, enriched with rich pomegranate extracts, beads and antioxidants will clear all the dirt and impurities from the face, giving you a glowing and youthful skin. Packaging: Just like the strawberry and peach variants, even Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash comes in a translucent tube with a white flip cap. The dispenser is just perfect and releases the right amount of product. Consistency And Fragrance: The consistency of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash is also same as the other two variants. Just the color of the gel is different. It’s deep red in color, which imitates the color of the pomegranates. The consistency is a bit sticky, so you’ll have to massage between the palms to create foam or lather. It also contains some microbeads, which are supposedly pomegranate extracts. The fragrance of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash is too sweet and artificial for my liking. I’m not completely against fragrant makeup or skin care products, but the scent of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash turns me off. I humbly request to Lakme to please go easy with the whatever scents you use for the product. It only does worse for the product, not any better. My Experience With Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash: The performance of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash is quite similar to the other facewash from this range. Just wash your face with plain water, rub the product between the palms and massage your face with it. The microbeads present in this face provides little to no exfoliation. Nevertheless, the skin looks and feel squeaky clean and oil free after the wash. It isn’t very efficient on makeup laden face. But I presume most of the facewash fail on this front. Another amazing part about this facewash is that it does not dry out the skin, But I’d still suggest you follow it up with a moisturizer. As for the glow part, it does make this skin look radiant and healthy after the wash, but that’s short lived. And honestly speaking, I wasn’t even expecting such glowing miracle from this facewash. Summing Up: Pros Of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash: Good packaging Affordable Lathers well Removes dirt and impurities from the face and makes the skin squeaky clean Does not dry out the skin Makes the skin look healthy Cons Of Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash: Strong, artificial fragrance. The glow does not last long. Live It Beautiful Rating: 4/5 Final Views: Out of all the three facewashes from this range, I like Strawberry one the most, followed by Pomegranate (Even though I detest the fragrance) and lastly, Peach. Lakme should really do something about the strong scent of this facewash. Mellowing down the scent a bit will make it much better. Have you used Lakme Blush and Glow Pomegranate Gel Face Wash?
