If you’re a follower of my blog, you’ll know that I never step out of the house without applying kajal. In my quest for a perfect kajal (creamy, insanely pigmented, long lasting and smudge proof) I’ve purchased various long staying kajals, the latest being Faces Magneteyes Kajal. Read on to know it fared.
What The Company Say About The Product?
Faces Magneteyes Kajal is a new age kajal made with fade proof and smudge proof formula. The finish you get from the kajal is transfer resistant and will keep you stunning looking all day.
How To Use:
INR 175 for 0.35 grams

Complete ingredient list not mentioned. But the company claims that it’s enriched with Vitamin E and minerals.
The packaging of Faces Magneteyes Kajal is similar to the other long staying kajals available in the market. The kajal comes packaged in a black, white and red cardboard packaging. The product is housed in a red retractable pencil with a cap that shuts tightly with a click sound. The branding is done right in the middle. I must say that the packaging does not feel flimsy at all. And I personally find the red packaging very eye catching.
Texture And Pigmentation:
Sorry to all those loyal to this kajal, but I did not find this kajal very smooth or creamy. It works well on the lash line, but tugs and pulls on the lash line. The kajal is indeed black in the truest sense. But the pigmentation shows only on the waterline and swatch. More details below!
My Experience With Faces Magneteyes Kajal:
Faces is the latest, (well not so latest, they launched this kajal a year back, but my blog is new, so…) to jump on the bandwagon of smudge proof and long staying kajals. We’ve had a couple of good and not so good long staying kajals before and believe me, I’ve tried each of them. I’ll even try to cover each in my blog.
As for Faces Magneteyes Kajal, I’m slightly disappointed with it. As I had mentioned in the texture column, the product does not glide smoothly on the waterline. But on the lash line, it’s smooth as butter. And because it doesn’t glide smoothly on the waterline, it doesn’t show well on the eyes. Repeated coats make the eyes appear messy and I like my lines crisp and clean. (Now you know why no eye swatch).

Long staying? Definitely it is. It stays more than 5 hours on my eyes, without much smudging. But if you rub your eyes, then be ready to look like a raccoon. And it’s stubborn too. The kajal just refuses to leave the eyes until you remove it with a high-quality makeup remover or cleanser. And it’s water resistant as well, which makes it convenient for daywear.
Pros Of Faces Magneteyes Kajal:
- It’s smudge proof
- Last up to 8 hours
- Pocket friendly
- Retractable packaging
- Gives a dark color payoff on the eyelids
Cons Of Faces Magneteyes Kajal:
- Does not glide properly on the waterline.
- Difficult to remove
- The tip of the kajal broke soon after I took the pictures So you need to be gentle while applying this kajal.
Live It Beautiful Rating: 4/5
I’ve read several beauty bloggers rave the product, and that leaves me a bit confused. Maybe Faces has changed the formula to make it longer lasting and smudge proof, as some bloggers complained of smudging with this kajal. Only Faces can answer this question.
Purchase this kajal if you want a jet black EYELINER. If you want to use it solely on the waterline, then there are better options in the market.
